I guess if hope springs eternal, so do other things. Like the dialogue in this comedy short penned by Robert Benchley, of all people, starting around 0:55.
This is pretty funny stuff coming from Robert Benchley and the Knights of the Algonquin.
Just stumbled across it today, and I can't understand why I never heard of his work before.
Funniest lines --
Wife: "Are they sick?"
Husband: "No, they're not sick, but they're tired."
I realize this proves I'm unoriginal, because I posted this on my blog before, but there are some things that remain so lovely that they're worth seeing twice.

Really fascinating to view these famous, evocative faces flow by with such fluidity. Really makes your mind grapple with what one finds beautiful or compelling by viewing these shifting icons so elusively.
